Gait1 Treating the Motivated Ambulator (92 min.)

Presented by Barbara Hypes, P.T. This video presents the facilitation of components of control required for gait in children with neuromotor disorders. Essential components of normal gait, understanding weight shifting, and the determinants of gait are discussed.

Gait2 Treating theReluctant Ambulator (65 min.)

Presented by Barbara Hypes, P.T. This video presents the facilitation of components of control required for improving gait in children with neuromotor disorders who demonstrate reluctance and fear in maintaining upright control.

Gait3 How to Make and Use Shoe Boards and Moon Boots (30 min.)

Presented by Barbara Hypes, P.T. This video presents step by step directions on how to make shoe boards and moon boots. These adaptations can be helpful in improving independent standing, walking control, and upper body use with good alignment of the lower extremities.

UB1 Upper Body Determinants On Independent Gait Control (32 min.)

Presented by Christine A. Neslon, OTR, Ph.D. This video discusses the importance of upper body function and its influence on standing and walking. Normalizing upper body control and organizing the trunk with good dissociation of the shoulder girdle and arms have a dramatic impact on lower extremity function. Three children are presented with various degrees of disability.
