Course Description
This seminar presents the neuroanatomy of neuromotor and sensorimotor problems in children. Dr. Moore presents structural and neuroanatomical factors as they relate to neuromotor and sensorimotor deficiencies. The structure and function of the Central Nervous System is discussed along with implications of dysfunction in various areas. Sensory processing of the Central Nervous System is presented related to motor learning and feed-forward and feedback systems.
Learning Outcomes
1. Describe the basic function of the CNS and list major systems.
2. List the new findings in brain function from recent neuroscience research.
3. Identify and list the structures and neuroanatomical factors related to low tone, movement and sensorimotor deficiencies.
